The District Nurses conduct regular screenings for vision, hearing, and scoliosis.  They also provide in-depth training and certification to both classified and certificated employees in first aid and CPR techniques.  The vision and hearing of all special education students is regularly assessed, and the health needs of all SSSD students who have significant health concerns are monitored closely.
