The Leona Cox Site Council reflects all aspects of the Leona Cox school community: the school principal, teacher representatives, a representative of other school personnel, and parent representatives.

The primary task of the School Site Council is to ensure that the school is continually engaged in identifying and implementing curriculum and instructional practices that result in both strengthening the core academic program and ensuring that students have access to and success in that program. This includes reviewing and revising the School Plan (a statement of goals for the school), analysis of current programs to improve student achievement, recommendations for the allocation of funding to support the School Plan, and the reporting the effectiveness of all improvement efforts.
