First Grade Teacher

Hello Everyone!

My name is Elizabeth Mowry. This year I am a First grade teacher at Canyon Springs Elementary. In my 35 years of teaching, I have taught K-4 with 30 of those years here at Canyon Springs Elementary. At the beginning of my teaching career I taught Full and Modified Bilingual classes.  I enjoy working with children and helping them reach for their dreams through their education.  I believe every child should be valued and treated with respect.  An education should empower a child and help him or her make a positive contribution to our world.  

I have been married 31 years and my husband and I have an adult son.  Santa Clarita Valley has been our hometown for the past 30 years. I enjoy being outdoors.  During my time off, I spend my free-time hiking, riding my bike, chilling at the beach and visiting my mother in Hawaii or other family members in Florida.  I also enjoy playing the piano, dancing and singing.
