I wanted to take a moment of your time to share a little information about myself and my philosophy on teaching. This is 14^th year teaching. I have taught Special Education Preschool for 7 years in Las Virgines School District before moving to Arizona with my husband and 2 daughters. In Arizona, I stayed home with our youngest daughter Abbigail until she was able to start Kindergarten. Once she went to Kindergarten, I went backing to teaching. I taught students between the ages of 14-22 with special educational needs for 3 years. My family moved to Santa Clarita four years ago. I have been teaching at Leona Cox as a Preschool Special Education Teacher the past four years.

 Our classroom has a strong emphasis on language development through the day. Not only do we facilitate your child’s language but we are constantly talking about what is happening so that your child comes away with a rich language experience. This is an important foundation for your child’s education and life.

 I feel that it is very important to allow children the opportunity to create independence and given as many choices as possible in a positive learning environment. In doing this I will address your child’s needs. I am diligent in providing learning opportunities in the areas of communication, social, adaptive, and motor as well as through your child’s IEP goals.

 I provide an environment of learning, exploration, fun, and adventure. Every day is different and every child is unique.
