Friday Update, October 31, 2025
Good evening, Sulphur Springs Families and staff, this is Dr. Catherine Kawaguchi, your Superintendent with a Friday update, October 31, 2025.

Dear Sulphur Springs Families,
Thank you for your support and understanding today as the District held a pupil-free day to provide all of our educators with professional development focused on Inclusive Practices.
Inclusive practices in the Sulphur Springs Union School District means that educators, staff, and families collaboratively strive as a team to create a culture of acceptance and affirm the rightful presence of all students within one system of education.
Within this model, every effort is made to ensure that all students meet curricular and individual goals with interventions, extensions, and/or support as needed to learn and succeed together in one learning environment.
We appreciate your partnership and continued commitment to helping us ensure that every student feels valued, supported, and included in our school community.
Celebrating Our Families
Holiday Food Drive
October 27th through November 7th

It's that time of year again! We’re excited to kick off our annual Holiday Food Drive to support families in need within our community.
If you would like to contribute, we are asking families to drop off specific food items (see menu) at your child’s school. When you arrive, you’ll see a yellow donation cart placed at the front of the school.
Collection Dates:
Monday, October 27th to November 7th
-Between 8:30 AM and 3:30 PM
In addition to food donations, we are also accepting gift cards from Denny’s Restaurant. These will go to families who may not be able to prepare a holiday meal.
To donate a Denny’s Restaurant gift card:
Please give it to the Office Manager at your child’s school or bring it to the District Office.
We truly appreciate your support in helping make this season brighter for families in need!
