winter break | Bentley University

All schools will be closed for Winter Break December 22nd through January 9th. Classes will resume January 12th for all students.

SAVE THE DATE!!!

We are excited to invite our school families to the Many Families, One Community Family Resource Fair on Saturday, March 21st at Golden Valley High School. Our District is proud to partner with the William S. Hart Union High School District to host this FREE event for our community.

Families will have the opportunity to attend free workshops that offer valuable information on:

  • Your child’s academic programs
  • Wellness resources for the entire family
  • Junior high and high school programs and pathways
  • A wide range of community resources available throughout Santa Clarita

We encourage families to attend, learn, and take advantage of the many resources available in one convenient location.

At the Resource Fair, there will be an Art Contest for your child to participate in. Please see more information below.

We invite all families to encourage their child to participate in our District-wide art contest with the theme “Many Families, One Community.” This theme celebrates the unique stories, cultures, traditions, and connections that make our school community strong and welcoming.

Art is a powerful way for students to express who they are, what family means to them, and how we all come together as one community.

With winter break coming next week, this is a wonderful opportunity for students to spend time at home reflecting on the theme and working on their artwork at their own pace. Families can use this time to talk together about what makes your family unique and how those differences help build a stronger community.

We hope families will take a moment to talk with their child about the theme and encourage them to create a piece that reflects their own story.

We look forward to seeing the many ways our students show that, together, we are Many Families, One Community.

Directions for each art piece:

EACH ENTRY MUST BE THE ORIGINAL WORK OF ONE STUDENT ONLY.

Transitional Kindergarten Enrollment

Transitional Kindergarten (TK) is part of the K-6 public school system. TK classrooms use developmentally appropriate, play-based curriculum specifically for four-year old students.

All four-year old students are eligible for TK if the child turns 4 years old on or before September 1, 2026. The Sulphur Springs Union School District offers a full-day TK program for their students.

Dear Families,

As we begin our holiday break, I want to thank you for the partnership, trust, and care you show our students every day. May this season bring your family rest, joy, and meaningful moments together. We wish you a safe, peaceful, and very happy holiday, and we look forward to welcoming everyone back refreshed in the new year.

Warmest wishes,

Dr. Catherine Kawaguchi, Superintendent
