Dear Sulphur Springs Union School District Families and Staff,

  We have begun this year with another great start, and we have come together to implement our new Vision Statement. Staff is committed to working together to empower students to be critical thinkers and assist them with the tools, supports, and learning environments to be creative innovators to excel both academically and socially.

  Last year, we had the opportunity to open with a new English Language Arts reading series for our students in grades transitional kindergarten through sixth, and we have continued to implement this program to further support our children in mastering the California State Standards. This year, we have also implemented a new reading series for our children with moderate to severe needs. This program is focused on reducing barriers for children and allows the children to access curriculum, and assists in setting high expectations for achievement. Our outstanding teachers, support staff, and administration are leading the way to prepare our students for college, career, and life.

  Thanks to the support of our families, and the excellence of our teachers, administrators, and support staff, we are confident that our schools will continue to be highly successful. Not only have we continued to ensure that our classrooms are equipped with technology that further enhances the learning in the classrooms, but we have also made sure that we are collaborating together to stimulate innovative thinking, and providing our students the skills needed to solve problems to support their success as they grow from elementary years to middle and high schools and beyond.

  It is important to remember, that the District’s goal is to continue to partner with our families to do whatever it takes to support our students’ successes in school. As your Superintendent, I know that each of us matter in the District’s ability to complete this mission. The Board of Trustees and I thank you in advance for all of your support that you provide our staff and their students. We look forward to continuing to work with our families and community throughout this school year!
